Ruby Diamond Concert Hall, located on the first floor of the Westcott Building, serves as Florida State University's main performance venue. The hall seats 1,172 people when the pit seating is not in place. The original structure, built in 1911 as the university's main auditorium, was demolished in 1951 due to structural issues and rebuilt three years later. In 1971, it was renamed to honor Ruby Diamond, a Florida State College for Women alumna and generous university supporter.
